CIA Gülen’e sponsor oldu

Uzun yıllar FBI’da terörizm ve mafya suç organizasyonları üzerine danışmanlık yapan Dr. Paul L. Williams, Unocal firmasının Fethullah Gülen’le ilişkisini yazdı. 12 Ocak 2011 tarihinde, “The Last Crusade” adlı internet sitesinde yayımlanan makalede [bknz. pS1 /26august], Unocal firmasının Gülen hareketinin ana sponsoru olduğu anlatılıyor.

“İslamın Günü” adlı kitabının yazarı olan Paul L. Williams, Keystone Basın ödülünü bir yıl içinde üç değişik katagoride alan tek gazeteci unvanına sahip. Williams’ın Wall Street Journal, USA Today gibi gazetelerde makaleleri yayımlanıyor.

DOĞU TÜRKİSTAN’DA İŞBİRLİĞİ

Paul Williams, Doğu Türkistan’ın gerçek bir ülke olmamasına rağmen Amerika’dan milyarlarca dolar dış yardım aldığına dikkat çekiyor. Williams Doğu Türkistan’ın sadece Türkiye ve CIA tarafından tanındığını vurguluyor. Williams Çin’in Uygur Özerk bölgesi alanına giren Doğu Türkistan’ın 2004 yılında eski Türkiye Büyükelçisi Morton Abramowitz ve eski CIA başkan yardımcısı Graham Fuller tarafından ülke olarak ilan edildiğini belirtiyor.

Peki Amerika neden Çin’in ana bölgesinde bir devlet yaratmak istiyor? Paul Williams’a göre bu sorunun yanıtı Fethullah Gülen hareketiyle yakından ilgili.

Gülen hareketini “dünyadaki en tehlikeli islami hareket” olarak niteleyen eski FBI danışmanı CIA ile Gülen ilişkisini ortaya koyan şu çarpıcı bilgilere yer veriyor: “Son yıllarda CIA, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nu canlandırma ve yeni bir islami düzen yaratma çabasındaki Gülen hareketine milyarlarca dolar para akıtarak destek verdi.”

Eski FBI danışmanı Türkmenistan’dan Hindistan’a ulaşacak doğalgaz boru hattının inşaatını üstlenen Unocal firmasının Gülen hareketinin ana sponsoru olduğunu belirtiyor.

Unocal’ın Orta Asya’da önemli petrol ve doğal gaz çıkarları bulunduğunu yazan Williams Afganistan devlet başkanı Hamit Karzai’nin Unocal’de kıdemli danışman olarak çalıştığını vurguluyor.

UNOCAL’DAN ALDI, AKP’YE AKTARDI

Williams yazısını şöyle sürdürüyor:

“Sibel Edmonds ve Gülen’in Amerika’da ikâmet etmesine ilişkin mahkeme belgelerine göre Clinton yönetimi bu hedefe ulaşmak için 1999 yılında planlar uygulamaya başladı. CIA sayesinde Sincian’dan yüzlerce Müslüman Uygurlu, Usame bin Ladin altında Afganistan’a eğitim almak için taşındı. Eğitimlerini takiben Uygurlular, Sincian’a, Doğu Türkistan islami hareketi kurmak için geri döndü.”

Paul Williams mahkeme kayıtları ve eski dışişleri görevlilerine dayanarak şu sonuçları çıkarıyor:

1) CIA, Afganistan’dan Avrupa’ya ve ABD’ye eroin akışına Gülen hareketine para desteği için izin vermekte.

2) CIA, Sincian Uygur özerk bölgesinin de dahil olduğu Orta Asya’da Amerikan şirketlerinin petrol ve doğal kaynaklara erişmeleri adına bir İslam devleti kurmak için çalıştı.

3) CIA, Usame Bin Ladin ile Doğu Türkistan İslami hareketini yaratmak için çalıştı.

Williams Fethullah Gülen’in Unocal’dan aldığı parayı AKP’ye kaynak yaratmak için kullandığını belirtiyor. 

Abdullah Gül için Türkiye’nin ilk İslamcı cumhurbaşkanı ifadesini kullanan Williams; Gül’ün, Erdoğan ve YÖK Başkanı Yusuf Ziya Özcan gibi Gülen’in müriti olduğuna dikkat çekiyor.

Türkmen doğalgazını Hindistan’a ulaştıracak doğalgaz boru hattını inşa eden Unocal (Union Oil Company of California), 1890 yılında kuruldu. 2005 yılında Chevron ile birleşti.

GÜLEN OKULLARINDAKİ CIA GÖREVLİLERİ

Eski FBI çalışanı olan Sibel Edmonds, “boiling frogs” adlı internet sitesinde 11 Ocak 2011 tarihinde yayınlanan makalesinde [bknz. pS2 /26august]; Orta Asya’daki Gülen okullarında, CIA şemsiyesi altında öğretmenlerin çalıştığını anlattı. Edmonds, söz konusu öğretmenlerin Amerikan diplomatik pasaportu taşıdığını yazdı.

Diplomatik bir kaynakla Edmonds arasında şu diyalog geçiyor:

– Bu öğretmenler Amerikan Dışişleri Bakanlığı’nda çalışıyor mu?
– Resmi olarak değil.
– Bu öğretmenlerin işverinleri kim?
– Eğitim alanındaki özel Türk şirketleri ve Türkiye’deki bazı sivil toplum kuruluşları.

East Turkistan is not a real country, although it receives millions in foreign aid from the United Nations and the United States.

Only one organization and one country recognize the existence of this mythical place – – the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Turkey.

The leader of this country does not reside in the steeps of Asia but in Chicago, Illinois.

East Turkistan represents an area of the Xinjiang province of China that is south of the Tian Shan mountains. It is inhabited by 8 million Uyghurs, 1 million Kazaks and Kyrgyrs, and 7 million Han Chinese.

East Turkistan was made a country by the proclamation of Morton Abramowitz, a former Ambassador to Turkey, and CIA operative Graham Fuller in a ceremony that was held in Washington DC in September 2004. They also singled out Enver Turani, a resident of Chicago, to serve as the head of this new phantom government.

Why would Abramowitz, who now serves as a senior fellow at The Century Foundation and Fuller, presently a senior political scientist for the Rand Foundation, take such extraordinary measures to carve out a “nation in exile” from a vast swath of mainland China?

The answer resides with the Gulen movement and gives further credence to the allegation that Fethullah Gulen, who lives within a mountain fortress in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, is “the most dangerous Islamist on planet earth.”

In recent years, the CIA has assisted Gulen in his effort to restore the Ottoman Empire and to create a New Islamic World Order by channeling billions into the coffers of his movement. More revenue was provided by UNOCAL, Gulen’s major corporate sponsor, which has major oil and natural gas interests in the “stans” of Central Asia. Hamid Karzai, president of Afghanistan, once worked as a senior consultant for UNOCAL.

Gulen, an exile from Turkey, used some of this money to fund the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP), which has gained control of the government in his native land.

Abdullah Gul, Turkey’s first Islamist President, is a Gulen disciple along with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, the head of Turkey’s Council of Higher Education.

Under the AKP, Turkey has transformed from a secular state into an Islamic country with 85,000 active mosques – – one for every 350- citizens – – the highest number per capita in the world, 90,000 imams, more imams than teachers and physicians – – and thousands of state-run Islamic schools.

Gulen also used a portion of his vast fortune to establish thousands of Islamic schools throughout the newly created Russian republics of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.

These countries were populated by Turks – – Turks who were once part of the Ottoman Empire – – Turks who still speak Turkish and practice Turkish customs.

According to Sibel Edmonds, who served as a translator of Turkish governments for the FBI, the CIA sought to gain control of the vast natural gas and oil reserves of the newly created Russian republics by using Turkey as a proxy since the inhabitants of these countries remain virulently Anti-American.

Fethullah Gulen represented the means for the CIA to gain a footing in Turkey and the Turkish republics.

Like the inhabitants of the new republics, Gulen is a Turk, who intent upon the establishment of a universal caliphate, and a militant Islamist, who seeks to indoctrinate youth in the political teachings of the Qu’ran.

The strategy has worked like a charm from the jinn and untold millions of inhabitants of Central Asia are members of the Gulen movement who seek unification under a newly restored Islamic order.

Moreover, Turkey, under the AKP, has forged a strong alliance with Iran. This alliance was largely achieved through the workings of the Gulen movement among the Azeri population of Iran who speak Turkish rather than Farsi.

But, for total control of the natural resources of Central Asia, the CIA recognized the necessity of setting the stage for the annexation of the portion of China’s Xinjiang province that is largely inhabited by Turkish Muslims (Uyhars, Kazaks, and Kygyrs) into the new pan-Islamic empire.

The plans to accomplish this objective, according to Sibel Edmonds and court documents concerning Gulen’s application for permanent residency in the US, got underway in 1999 under the Clinton Administration.

Hundreds of Muslim Uyghurs from Xinjiang were transported to Afghanistan – -thanks to the CIA – – for training in Afghanistan under Osama bin Laden and the mujahadeen.

Following their training, the Uyghurs returned to Xinjiang to form The East Turkistan Islamic Movement, an organization affiliated with al Qaeda that has launched terror attacks throughout the Xinjiang province.

Like the Gulen Movement, the East Turkistan Islamic Movement was funded by money from the CIA’s control of the poppy fields.

Sibel Edmonds testified that he US needed “to keep its fingerprints off these operations” in order to avoid a popular revolt in Central Asia and severe repercussions from China and Russia.”

Court recorders and testimony from former state department officials support the following conclusions:

1. The CIA has allowed the flow of heroin from Afghanistan into Europe and the United States in order to fund the Gulen movement.

2. The CIA has worked to establish a pan-Islamic state throughout Central Asia, including the Xinjiang province of China, in order to gain access for US firms to the substantial oil and natural reserves of this geographic area.

3. The CIA has worked with Osama bin Laden in order to create the East Turkistan Islamic Movement, a new Islamic terrorist organization.

Unfortunately, the above is merely the tip of the iceberg.

Additional Omitted Points in CIA-Gulen coverage & A Note from ‘The Insider’

Crucial Details Missing in the MSM Coverage of the Recent Intel Chief’s Exposé

Last week I wrote about the Washington Post’s incomplete and one-sided coverage of the recently published memoir by former Turkish Intelligence Chief Osman Nuri Gundes exposing CIA Operations via an Islamic Group in Central Asia. Since then I have gone over the same book’s review and coverage by the Turkish mainstream media, and I have interviewed reporters and sources in Turkey who have read the book, followed the coverage, and or are intimately familiar with the topic. With that I now have several additional points on this exposé which further illustrate the journalistically mind-boggling piece marketed by the Post. Writing my previous piece cost me an associate whom I like and respect. It shouldn’t have. I still believe this was a case of institution-Government-editors vs. the journalist, with the former winning. I am not going to weigh my writing, modify my facts, alter the truth, tweak, and censor based on worries of losing a source, or a friend, or even readership. With that said I’ll briefly list my points gathered from documented facts and interviews, and sources familiar with Gundes’ recent book and Gulen.

Extensive Coverage in the Turkish Mainstream Media

As one might expect, the Turkish mainstream media (all major newspapers, magazines, radio & TV channels) extensively (and very intensely) covered the recent publication of Gundes’ book. The following are the main points on former Turkish Intel Chief Gundes’ CIA-Gulen allegations which were documented and reported by every single media outlet in Turkey (since mid December), including this one written by one of the most prominent journalists at Milliyet:

1- In Central Asia, within Gulen’s Islamic schools, the CIA operatives worked under the guise of ‘American Teachers teaching English.’

Okay, the Washington Post article, going through the exact same publications/articles forgot to add these crucial details, which would have paved the way for journalistic investigation(s) leading to either confirmation or denial. The following is the only detail the article provided:

In the 1990s, Gundes alleges, the movement “sheltered 130 CIA agents” at its schools in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan alone

In this case, as others had done already, the existence of mysterious American teachers teaching English in Gulen’s schools in Central Asia has already been confirmed.

2- The American Teachers working at Gulen’s Islamic Schools in Central Asia possessed US Diplomatic Passports.

I contacted my source, formerly with the State Department, and he confirmed issuing diplomatic status for at least 50 Americans to teach in former Soviet republics. When I asked him whether they were employed by the State Department, he said: ‘Not officially.’ I asked him whether they were connected to the CIA, and he responded, ‘I wouldn’t know.’ I inquired about the direct foreign employer(s) of these American teachers, and this was his response: ‘Private Turkish companies in education fields and several NGOs in Turkey.’ This particular source was retired in 2004.

Again, the Washington Post article conveniently omitted this particular detail. Publishing this detail would have required seeking comments from the State Department: “Have you issued diplomatic passports to American teachers in XYZ countries.” Of course, no such inquiry was ever made by the Post.

3- Gundes provided details of a high-level official meeting attended by MIT officials, one of Gulen’s education foundation directors, the Minister of Turkish Education Ministry Department and other high-level bureaucrats, an official from the Prime Minister’s Office, and several owners of Gulen private schools. The location for this briefing where CIA operative teachers with US Diplomatic passports were discussed was at ‘Ogretmen Evi’ and the host was the Director of Foreign Study Program at the Turkish Education Ministry. The meeting was ‘recorded,’ and an official report was prepared. The report included the following details:

One of the attending Gulen school owners owned and operated 18 schools for Gulen in Uzbekistan. The CIA operation disguised under ‘Teaching English’ at these 18 schools in Uzbekistan consisted of 70 CIA operatives, operating under a project named ‘Friendship Bridge’ (Operation Code Name). The operatives also submitted reports to a certain arm of the Pentagon.

The same operation (name not mentioned) had 60 American-CIA operatives as English teachers in Kyrgyzstan; again carrying US Diplomatic Passports.

The meeting (briefing) and analyses were later included in an official government report (Turkish Government) on Gulen’s operations which was ‘published.’

Again, the Turkish media quotes and covers these detailed allegations. None of these details, and what’s alleged as evidence by Gundes, were covered by the Post. After all, how difficult would it be to follow up and check out these American ‘teachers’ with Diplomatic Passports in the named countries? Make some use of the  Post’s foreign correspondents and partners stationed/anchored  there? No; the  Post would not dare open that can of worms. So what do they do instead: Take out all the details, get lies as quotes from the implicated CIA source, and say, ‘hmmmmm, see, nothing there.’

This is consistent with Gulen’s own media networks’, such as Today’s Zaman’s, no-denial denial operation mode. Remember, these are the same groups who deny Gulen’s 100+ charter school operations in the United States (See here), and this, despite all the documentation and hundreds of witnesses’, including former and present Americans teachers who have worked at these charter schools. Today’s Zaman, one of Gulen’s propaganda machine arms, desperately denies Gunes’ exposé, and in doing so in such desperation, it ends up with a jumble of no-denial denial (see here).

Another point worth mentioning: You’d think with all the court documents and previous reports on FBI-DOJ and the Homeland Security Department vehemently opposing Gulen’s residency request in court(s), the Washington Post would contact their plentiful DOJ-FBI-DHS sources and ask for statements; right? Well, they didn’t. In the Gulen court case we had the CIA pushing big time for Gulen’s residency request, and DOJ-FBI-DHS opposing it. Why? Why did the FBI-DOJ-DHS oppose Gulen in court? I’d say this much-First Hand information, in this case: Based on FBI-DHS joint investigations of Gulen (White Collar Crime) and the involved files, they had plenty of reasons to oppose.

Finally, as a side note, the Post, at least Mr. Stein, was very familiar with my statements regarding Gulen-CIA-Central Asia operations; including the interview I gave to the American Conservative Magazine’s Phil Giraldi. Had Mr. Stein bothered to contact me he would have gotten what the Washington Post wished not to get.

I am going to end this post with a short piece provided to our BFP readers in the US by one of my sources in Turkey who has gone through Gunes’ book, and is a journalist with inside information and unique access to those closely involved in Gulen related investigations-operations:

Fethullah Gülen & the Origin of the Turkish Deep State

abramowitzThose who think the Turkish/Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen was introduced to the CIA after he had left Turkey and established himself in Pennsylvania are missing the point. Same with those who are under the impression that the Gülen movement is primarily of a religious nature.

The first contacts of Gülen with the CIA go back to way before, we learn from the recently published book The witness of takeovers and anarchy by Osman Nuri Gündes, a former operative of the Turkish intelligence outfit MIT. In the eighties Gülen associated himself with fierce anticommunist circles in Turkey supported by the joint CIA and the secretive stay behind network, Gladio. We are talking about the same Gladio which was responsible for a series of far right terrorist attacks in Turkey and who composed the overture of the bloody 1980 takeover.

According to Osman Nuri Gündes, Gülen began his own anticommunist organization in the city of Erzurum. He also mentions Gülen with respect to Radio Free Europe, a CIA propaganda project against the Soviet-Union where previous CIA station chief Paul Henze was working as well. Henze has been described as one of the dark forces behind the takeover in 1980. Gülen’s main contact in the CIA however, was Morton Abramowitz, who was stationed in Turkey as a CIA employee before he came there as US ambassador. As mentioned previously on this website, Abramowitz later came to defend Gülen when he ended up having trouble with the US immigration service.

So, once upon a time Gülen was very close to structures in Turkey of which the remnants can still be recognized in Ergenekon, the network that targeted not only Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s AK-party government, but also the Gülen-movement. This is due to the fact that the previous anticommunist network in Turkey turned away from the CIA in post-Cold War days, while Gülen and his supporters in the Turkish government remained loyal to it.
